Exciting Times: Plane Tickets Bought

We have finally purchased plane tickets.  Having a ticket and a departure date makes this all seem real.  Holly and Sadie will be leaving from Nashville on September 7th.  Then, Chad, Nancy, and Nolen will be leaving from Nashville on September 19th.  We have scheduled to be flying home on October 21st.  However, our return home date is just a guess because we really don't know how long things will take.  This date will more than likely change as we progress in the process.
While purchasing plane tickets we were having a bit of sticker shock.  Five tickets to Africa don't exactly come cheap.  On Tuesday night Chad and I were having a conversation about paying for this adoption.  Our goal all along has been to have a debt free adoption.  When seeing the price of airfare and other things I started to doubt if this was even possible.  But my God is faithful and his plan is perfect.  When Chad and I have reached difficult times throughout this process financial and others we have said that this is what God has told us to do and he will direct us.  That he did this week.  The day after having airfare sticker shock we received a letter from an organization called Show Hope.  It was informing us that we had  received and adoption grant.  Overwhelmed.  That is what I was.  Overwhelmed by His Glory, Faithfulness, and Love.  It has been amazing to see just how God has provided and met all of our families needs.  To Him be the Glory for this.
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.  To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Philippians 4: 19-20
As soon as one prayer request is answered another arises.  We were not able to purchase tickets for the girls on the flight home.  This is because we do not know their birthdays, something needed to buy plane tickets.  We know they are around 2 years of age.  If they turn 2 after we arrive home we will not need to purchase them their own seat.  We can just purchase them a lap seat which is what we did with Nolen.  A lap ticket is about $1,000 cheaper than a regular airplane ticket home.  The way it is now if they turn 2 in Africa we will have to purchase them last minute one way tickets.  Our prayer is that we will know when their birthdays are so we can make this decision not at the last minute.  Financially it would be great if they didn't have their birthday until we got home.

If you "like" Show Hope's Facebook page during the month of July an anonymous donor will donate $1 to orphan care and adoption aid.
